About Your Therapist

Jenny has been on the path to becoming a wellness provider since her teenage years. She studied dance throughout her life which led her to discover her passion for fitness and nutrition. She always wanted to learn more about the human body and how it worked, why, and the best ways to take care of it for a long and happy life. She attended the University of Minnesota to study Kinesiology. It was a great fit, but something was missing. In 2004 she was introduced to the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) where she would earn her certificate of Massage Therapy in 2007, and she found what she was searching for. Some of her favorite modalities include the classic Swedish and Deep Tissue, as well as pampering body treatments. She now has over 6+ years of experience working in Day Spa's, Hotels, Gyms and Corporate events. Being a Massage Therapist has completed that missing link to her background and paired with a B.S. degree gives Jenny a well rounded and holistic approach to her work. She looks forward to creating a special blend of techniques tailored to your specific needs.

Custom Blend Massage : Includes a variety of techniques described below to best target your pain.

Swedish /Circulatory Massage:
Long flowing strokes are used to enhance circulation and affect muscle and connective tissue. This type of massage can either be relaxing or invigorating depending on your needs.

Deep Tissue : Slow, and melting pressure on specific areas to alleviate chronic aches and pains. Friction can also be applied across the grain of the muscles using thumbs, fingers and elbows. Contrary to popular belief, not all Deep Tissue is painful. There are many techniques that fall under that term and have different degrees of pressure.

Nueromuscular Therapy (NMT): Also known as Trigger Point Therapy, NMT is applied to specific muscles to increase blood flow or release pain and pressure on the nerves, and release knots by identifying points of tenderness or irritation and holding those points until the pain subsides. It breaks the "pain cycle" between your brain and your body.

Sports : Both preventative and therapeutic, this type of massage is used to treat and or aid in the prevention of injury, improve flexibility, range of motion and performance. Stretching, Deep Tissue and NMT techniques are used.

Prenatal : Uses gentle techniques to alleviate some of the common complaints associated with pregnancy such as the lower back, hips and shoulders. Improves circulation, promotes stress reduction and relaxation. Patients should check with their Doctor before receiving treatment. *Please, only women in their second and third trimester and with uncomplicated pregnancy are to be considered for treatment.

Aromatherapy : When combined with bodywork, aromatherapies can greatly affect the massage experience. A few drops of oil are added to oil or cream and applied to the skin. Each essential oil elicits a desired effect ; lavender for example, is know for its calming and sedative qualities. Inventory may change with the seasons, please inquire when making your appointment. *$5 to be added on to any of the above massages
